Two Men Arrested for Theft of TNA Championship Belt

Iowa police have apprehended 2 men who stole the TNA Championship belt and a replica last month.

TNA sources told TMZ that their Heavyweight Championship belt, valued at $6000, and a replica, valued at $400, were stolen just before a live event in Ottumwa, Iowa on August 18. The perpetrators grabbed the belts while a stagehead was busy unloading props from a truck. Through surveillance footage, Ottumwa police identified the thieves as local residents Joel Luke, 33, and Forrest Jamison, 39.

Luke and Jamison were arrested on Wednesday. Luke was charged with 2nd degree theft, while Jamison was charged with accessory. They were both released on bail – $5000 for Luke and $3000 for Jamison. The fate of the belts is uncertain – some sources state they have already been returned to TNA, while others are saying that the Ottumwa PD is still hanging on to them as evidence.
